LEGAL, the sixth committee of the General Assembly, is responsible for matters including the development and codification of international law. It serves as the primary forum for discussing legal issues, drafting new treaties, and assisting the General Assembly in its work on international law and justice. In committee, delegates will discuss military presence and influence in major global trade routes. Through understanding country policy and reviewing previous global initiatives, delegates must collaborate to establish feasible and creative solutions to this issue.
Dear Delegates,
Welcome to LABMUNC and the LEGAL committee. I am currently 17, and a Junior at Lab, and have been a member of U-High's Model UN team since the beginning of my freshman year. I have previously chaired the UNODC committee at LABMUNC V, I am looking forward to a great year of competition and having another awesome time chairing. Outside of MUN, I am a 3-sport varsity athlete, a member of the soccer team as a goalkeeper, indoor track as a sprinter and jumper, and baseball as an infielder and pitcher. I am also a member of Kids Allergy Network and Younglife. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, playing sports, and going to the beach whenever I can. Looking to committee, I am excited to see everyone, and ready for some competitive debate. Feel free to contact me ahead of time with any questions or concerns, wishing you the best of luck!
