Dear Delegates,
My name is Gabriella Novak, and I am honored to serve as your co-chair for this ADHOC Committee. I am currently a junior at Lab, and this is my third year participating in LABMUN. Model UN has taught me the value of compromise, critical thinking, and collaboration, skills I hope you will develop and experience throughout your time in this committee. Outside of MUN, I serve as president of a student-led political engagement organization, intern at UChicago's Center on Democracy, tutor English and history, and have toured the U.S. as a musician. I’m excited to see the innovative solutions you’ll bring to the committee!
Welcome! My name is Taara Sajdeh and I am a junior at Lab, competing with LABMUN for three years. I am super excited to be co-chairing the ADHOC committee this year. MUN has acted as a way for me to grow as a person, teaching me what it really means to be a leader and how to effectively work with people towards a common goal. I think that MUN is about diplomacy, debate, and discourse, and a successful delegate will be able to work alongside a number of people in order to acknowledge diverse perspectives while demonstrating leadership. Outside of the activity, I enjoy running track and cross country, watching Formula 1, competing in STEM Racing, and spending time with friends. Through in-depth research and care for the topic, I hope this committee will help you as a delegate engage in impactful debate and collaboration to solve real-world issues.
Best,
Gabi Novak and Taara Sajdeh
