Label Detector ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. We prioritize your privacy and collect only the absolute minimum amount of information necessary for the App to function.
Camera and Photo Library Access: The App requires access to your device's camera and photo gallery to capture and analyze food, medicine, and other product labels. The images you capture or select are processed locally and temporarily sent to our AI service provider (Google Gemini) solely for the purpose of analyzing the label content. We do not save, store, or share these images on our own servers.
In-App Purchases: If you choose to upgrade to our Premium version, your transaction is processed directly through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information (such as credit card numbers). We only receive an anonymous confirmation token to unlock your Premium features.
Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated data (such as crash reports or non-personal usage statistics) to help us improve the App's performance and fix bugs. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
We use the information we collect strictly for the following purposes:
To provide the core functionality of the App (analyzing labels and returning health/ingredient insights).
To process your Premium subscription status and unlock features.
To improve, maintain, and troubleshoot the App.
To provide our core AI analysis features, the App integrates with:
Google Gemini API: The text and images extracted from your labels are sent securely to Google's AI models for analysis. By using the App, you also agree to be bound by Google's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat / App Stores: For handling Premium subscriptions securely.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any of your personal data or usage data to third-party advertising companies or data brokers.
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Our App does not knowingly solicit information from or market to children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
