Research topics
在膀胱癌病患中,Calreticulin(CRT)在尿液中的的量有明顯的增加,可做為篩檢癌症的重要marker之一。在實驗室的先前研究中發現,CRT可經由影響細胞膜上beta-1 integrin的glycosylation來造成癌細胞轉移。在CRT knockdown的細胞株當中,fucosyltransferase-1(FUT-1) 的表現量降低,使integrin fucosylation減少而使細胞貼附能力下降,並減少in vivo model中的癌細胞轉移。
在我的研究當中,希望透過immunoprecipitation(IP)的方式收集細胞上的beta-1 integrin,並分析在CRT knockdown細胞株上integrin的fucosylation pattern是否發生變化,進而找到能影響細胞貼附能力特定的glycosylation site,藉此對於癌細胞轉移的機制有更多的了解。
