Mini-bio:
Dr. Patricia B. Tissera is a Full Professor at the Institute of Astrophysics, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and the Director of its Graduate Program. She got a PhD in Astronomy from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina, in 1995, and since then her research focuses on galaxy formation and evolution, using numerical simulations. She contributes to developing chemical evolution models within hydrodynamical simulations.
Dr. Tissera serves as the Principal Investigator of the CATA Center for Excellence and co-directs the Núcleo Milenio ERIS in Chile. She actively participates in the training of young researchers and in outreach activities.
