What an honest and kind service Johnny gave me! I went to the car shop before their opening time by mistake and Johnny walked to my vehicle to check it.
I was concerned about not passing the emission test due to the dash lights being on.
Johnny took the time to explain why that was happening and determined that there was nothing wrong with the car.
Not knowing anything about car mechanics, I really appreciate having found someone so honest and caring.
I would definitely go back to him when needed.

I strongly recommend L&T.
I was traveling from Winnipeg to Chicago for a concert, and on the way over had some mechanic issues.

L&T is the place to take your car for service. Johnny and the crew there are extremely knowledgeable and most of all, HONEST.
The team will do exactly what needs to be done to ensure you are up and running safely without charging you for anything miscellaneous or unnecessary.
My mom brought her car here with no codes or service lights and Johnny solved the problem and did so with tons of attention to detail to ensure avoid any extra costs or time.

I was getting ready to go out of town when I decided to check my oil.
The hood latch on my Prius did not work. It was early Saturday afternoon so not a lot of options.
I found L and T Auto, called and was told I could come on in.
The previous place I had dropped by told me it was the cable and they could not fix it until the middle of the following week.
L and T seemed to know just what to do and asked me to pull the lever while they played with the hood and latch for the front.
Two minutes later it opened showing a broken spring, not a cable.
I went home, installed a new spring and my journey was saved.
The service and disposition of the owner, Johnny?, was amazing and honest.
I would most definitely go again any time.

Johnny organized a reasonably priced tow and had my car repaired within 18 hours.
He identified a number of additional concerns and respected my decisions to have some of these (filters, battery, brakes) tended to in my home town.
My only regret is that Johnny is in another state than I am so I won't have opportunity to return to him for future repairs.
Johnny's prices were fair and service quick.

One quick experience but it was solid. Just needed someone to do a quick headlamp swap.
One of those things you could figure out how to do yourself but you know if you run into a problem you'd rather have someone who has tools.
I called around and got quotes for $60 nearby from a chain! Called L&T and he said that I could swing in right now and that cars vary a lot on how accessible the headlight is but that he guessed on a price and then said he'd tell me as soon as I showed up how much it would be.
I pulled up and he walked out to meet me. He took my part that I had ordered, confirmed that I got the right one, did the swap in 2 minutes on his own, and charged me an even lower price than we quoted on the phone cause he said it was fast and easy.
Friendly and to the point guy. Shook my hand and said he's happy to take a look at anything else any time.
Definitely a local neighborhood guy who's just packing cars in but that's what I prefer to some of these national chains.
Will be back when I need him.

Hands down, the best mechanic/auto repair in Chicago!
Two years ago I was new to the neighborhood and hesitant about bringing my car into any mechanic as finding a reputable one can prove difficult.
I decided to give L & T a shot and never looked back!
The owner Johnny is as honest and knowledgeable as they come.
He's a hardworking family man that gives new meaning to customer service.
He is warm and personable and genuinely cares about the safety and satisfaction of anyone he does business with!
The guy takes on the majority of the work himself, ensuring that every job on every automobile, meets the highest professional standards.
Not only is his quality of work outstanding but he is always willing to help in a bind.
You can bet that whether Johnny has 3 cars or 15 in his lot you are going to receive the same level of personalized service, respect, and attention to detail regardless.
His pricing is also extremely fair!
Johnny worked with me through an extensive amount of body damage through a serious of unfortunate accidents (making the car look next to new through great craftsmanship and ingenuity) and I've yet to have any issue under the hood that he couldn't solve.
Take my word, having had my fair share of bad experiences across the country with other auto repair joints, that L & T is NOT one of those.
They are in a league of their own.
