WE ARE GETTING MARRIED
It's been a really long, rickety, roller-coaster journey. You must have read about many romantic relationships leading to marriage. I'm about sharing a unique and intriguing story that will reinstate your perception about fate
I met my “Dream boat” precisely 2014 when he newly moved in with his family to Calabar.
On this faithful beautiful Sunday morning my “now prince charming” walked into the church auditorium with an audacious smile, captivating with some degree of boldness.
My goodness!!! I was swept away with just a single glance. This must be love at first sight.
With his beautiful big brown eyes, our eyes looked. In that moment, I felt a strong connection and couldn't take my eyes off him; it was purely a physical response.
He was and is still the most beautiful dude I have met in recent times. I leaned to my heart in an unconscious state and said
"THIS IS MY HUSBAND". This may have come as a joke at the time, but I knew I was smitten.
Somehow, we exchanged contacts and boom… our conversations amplified.
We had much in common that we weren’t bored or got tired of exchanging good-natured banter together. We couldn’t leave a day passed without havinga word.
At this point, we became great friends not just to him but I became a family member. It started out purely platonic. He became a pillar of support during my trying moments, disappointment in my relationships.
I lost lots of friends but he was one of the few who stayed. He was there for me at my lowest point in life and stood by me when I felt completely alone.
As the uncertainty of life engulfed, we both relocated for few years and thisweighed greatly on our communication. Challenges rowed in, I had missed my best friend.
But as fate would have it, in a bit of twist, March 2020 to be precise new dimension beckoned during his sister’s wedding.
We found our self in the same spot, past memories erupted as we both were looking forward to it.
At this point we had already known much about each other. I grew closer to him again. We became each other's pillar of support, strength and partner in crime.
Finally in 2021 he decided to take it to the next level. The whole drama came to reality when his sister convincingly invited me to Uyo. I was told I was coming to grace an event unknown to me it was my engagement.
She took me to one of the finest hotel in town, his sisters showered me with so much love, I wandered all the while. To my greatest surprise, “DB” who accompanied me to the park that very morning at about 7:30am was now seen in the same hotel. Could this be a dream? Am I seeing a ghost? Somebody please wake me up.
Hmmm………, my favorite love song was played on my entry with petals all design around the room with an inscription “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” got down on a bended knee and popped the question to marry him.
At this point I was dazzled with an intriguing notion I exclaimed “YES YES YES”.
What a moment…..
The reality is that it's been quite challenging, yet the most amazing dream journey, a lot of hard work, with its ups and downs to allow this very moment unfold.
“DB” and I have a deep bond that is unbreakable and he's the bravest man to have embarked on this journey with me where we both have landed on places that most resonates with ever deepest truth and desire.
I am so grateful our feet crossed path…..
