I am honoured to have received the 2025 CAUTHE Best PhD Scholar’s Paper Award, presented in memory of Professor Bill Faulkner.
My paper, titled "Solidarity in Informality: Conceptualising a Practice-Based Meaning of Work," was co-authored with my supervisors, Associate Professor Richard Robinson and Professor Greg Marston from The University of Queensland. This research explores the lived experiences of informal workers in tourism, highlighting the significance of solidarity and practice-based understandings of work.
The award was presented at the CAUTHE 2025 Conference in Brisbane, recognising our contribution to advancing tourism scholarship.
