Kyoungin Choe

Ph.D. Candidate | North Carolina State University

Kyoungin Choe is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at North Carolina State University. She is broadly interested in agricultural economics and applied econometrics, with a particular focus on price analysis and risk management. Her research aims to help producers reduce risks associated with price and production, focusing on futures, options, and the federal crop insurance program.

Kyoungin has international educational and research experience. She earned her first Master’s degree from Korea University and a dual degree from Ghent University, where she wrote her thesis on international agricultural markets and trade. Before entering the Ph.D. program, she worked at the Korea Rural Economic Institute, where she focused on the price dynamics of world grain markets and their implications for domestic markets.

Kyoungin also has extensive teaching experience both in-person and online. She has taught undergraduate-level classes as an independent instructor for three years at NC State, engaging with 150+ students each semester.
