Kyosuke Kikuta
Kyosuke Kikuta (菊田恭輔) is Associate Senior Research Fellow at Institute of Developing Economies, Japan External Trade Organization.
My research examines the causes and consequences of war, violence, and protests, often by tracing how seemingly unrelated events, such as disasters, sports, religious events, and academic research, shape political behavior. I draw on causal inference methods, machine learning, and GIS, with much of my empirical work focused on Africa and international relations.
My articles are published or forthcoming in;
American Political Science Review
Journal of Conflict Resolution
Political Science Research and Methods
Annual Review of Political Science, and others.
