Indigenous People's History of the United States is another history from the colonized perspective that should be required reading before you're 34 but space time is patchy.
Crack Up Capitalism was an awesome book about how that world system has continued to dig into and warp geographic and social landscapes in ways that generate centripetal motion for one class of people, and centrifugal motion for the rest.
When McKinsey Comes to Town gave a deeper dive into how one multinational corporation executes this playbook. The section about McKinsey entering sports should get expanded into another book.
