Welcome to our school Library
The main purpose to create this E-reading site is to provide online reading material and content to our students and teachers. In our School library there are around one thousand books. It is a collection of different type of books like NCERT Books ,Story Books, Magazines , Comics Books, Activities related books ,daily newspaper of The Hindu Times and Amar Ujala etc. Student loves to read story books and comics. We also perform other activities like Book reading challenge,online quiz based on the Day celebrated , portfolio making competition etc .
BOOKS DISTRIBUTION
Every year books are distributed by students to their lower class students in the month of April.Activity- Book Donation for needy students “A book is a gift you can open again and again.” Kendriya Vidyalaya Raigarh welcomes old textbooks from the students for Library for the RTE and needy students. 71 books are donated by the students till date. We are grateful to all who have contributed to this activity and to creating a spark for the love of learning through reading.

HINDI PAKHAWADA celebration
Hindi Pakhwada is celebrated from 14th - 28th September every year to celebrate the Hindi language, one of the official language of Republic of India. Through various events organized by Hindi Cell in collaboration with literary clubs, students were encouraged to use Hindi and explore Hindi literature. Competition like poetry, essay writing, singing, painting and quiz were conducted during the same. Students presented well composed self written poems as well and shared their love for the Hindi language. In the painting competition, through pencils and colors students depicted the shades of richness of Hindi. All the winners were felicitated and were given away certificates and prizes. All the proud Hindi speakers took a pledge to take Hindi to the global stage boldly.
P.N Panicker - Father of the Library Movement
INTRODUTION
Puthuvayil Narayana Panicker is known as the Father of the Library Movement in Kerala. The activities of the Kerala Grandhasala Sanghom which was initiated by P. N. Panicker ignited a popular cultural movement in Kerala at the end of which the state acquired total literacy in the 1990s
CONTRIBUTIONS
Panicker took leadership in forming Thiruvithaamkoor Granthasala Sangham (Travancore Library Association) in 1945 with 47 rural libraries. The slogan of the Sangham was “Read and Grow”. Later, with the formation of Kerala State in 1956, it became Kerala Granthasala Sangham (KGS). He traveled across the villages of Kerala propagating the message of reading and inviting active involvement of people. He succeeded in bringing about 6000 libraries into this network. Grandhasala Sangham won the prestigious ‘Krupsakaya Award’ from UNESCO in 1975. He was the General Secretary of Sangham for 32 years, until 1977, when the Sanghom was taken over by the Kerala State Government. P. N. Panicker :-Father of the Library Movement
Puthuvayil Narayana Panicker (1 March 1909 – 19 June 1995) is known as the Father of the Library Movement in the Indian state of Kerala.[1] The activities of the Kerala Grandhasala Sangham that he initiated triggered a popular cultural movement in Kerala which produced universal literacy in the state in the 1990s.
Panicker was born on 1 March 1909 in Jamjamjum to Govinda Pillai and Janaky Amma at Neelamperoor,Pn panikar India.[2] In 1926 he started the Sanadanadharmam Library as a teacher in his hometown.[3] he was a teacher and his influence on society was much greater than many of his time. read more
