Used2Be has definitely caught our attention with their creative and fun visuals in their debut teaser. With their debut trailer released on August 20, 2025, we were introduced to five members: Vi, Juli, Tsuyu, Azure, and Liv, who showcased something truly unique in the KUV scene.
Founded under AMRr labels, which is known for their girl group SPHERE, Used2Be represents “the members’ journey of self-discovery, as they’re unsure of who or what they used to be. With each comeback, they’ll uncover more about themselves and their past. This growth will be reflected in both music and overall concept.” This debut quote gives us a promising glimpse into their journey as KUV idols.
First, we have to talk about the visuals. The teaser used a mixed-media style of editing, something rarely seen in KUV, which instantly made them stand out. It gives off a sense of authenticity that feels refreshing and new. The blend of different aesthetic elements creates a feeling of ethereal chaos, possibly hinting at the range of aesthetics they’ll explore in future comebacks. They also seem to be teasing a backroom dreamy type of concept on their socials which is very exciting to see.
Another standout aspect is the styling. The members’ looks combine multiple aesthetics, most especially ethereal grunge and Avant-Y2K, with touches that could also fit into the weird girl core category. The result feels like a dreamy, disheveled, art-school take on early 2000s fashion. It’s soft, chaotic, and hauntingly pretty, aligning perfectly with the visual tone of the teaser.
Their outfits feature charming details such as polka dots, piano keys, and pearls, adding a dainty touch. The muted palette, dusty grays, faded whites, pale pinks, and soft pastels create a girlish yet eerie mood. Watching the teaser feels like waking up inside a forgotten Y2K photoshoot in a world of soft grass and tangled ribbons: weirdly cute, nostalgic, melancholic, and creative. It’s playful yet haunting.

Let’s also talk about the audio in the background, which gives us a hint of what their debut might sound like. It begins with calm nature sounds before an eerie, glitchy beat fades in, almost like waiting on a loading screen. The track is possibly an original sound made specifically for Used2Be, and it fits perfectly with the dreamy yet unnerving aesthetic they’re going for.
Even though this teaser premiered just a month ago, it has already gained attention with over 2,000 views on YouTube. It's an impressive start for a rookie group. We’ll definitely be tuning in for their official debut to see where their creative concept takes them next.
