Began airing with an hour long first episode. Criminals who don't even deserve death are condemned to become hero's, forever fighting on the front lines and revived against their will upon death. The respectable holy nights are locked in an endless battle against fae monsters, and treat the hero's as scum. Following our protagonist, a hero, we find out how he ended up this way and his plan for revenge. The action was pretty nice, and the characters are developed well. The world is unique and I think it was a very wise decision for the extra length episode. The animation is what a lot of people are glazing. While it does look like some of the time, there are many scenes full of poorly blended cgi. This is especially noticeable on unnamed soldiers and enemy fae. Has potential but the constant switches in quality have me skeptical. 7/10.
Long ago when the hero defeated the demon lord he lost his arm and leg, today people born without something are said to bare the hero's scare. Kunon is a noble born without eyesight, and lived an unfulfilled life as a result. As he happened to have an affinity for water magic he began taking lessons and resolved to create new eyes with magic. The setting is very generic fantasy, especially with the gifted protagonist being of noble rank. The character designs are lovely and the art style is good and simple without being bland. There's a good balance of comedy, and its refreshing to see non-combat magic be the specialty in an anime like this. I like it quite a bit. 7/10.
A man loves the childhood friend romance trope, but acknowledges that it's just a fantasy and can only exist in fiction. He has two childhood friends that are trying to seduce him, while he dosen't get his hopes up and plays it cool to maintain their friendship. This is tagged as a harem romance anime, and it thrives on tropes. I was not expecting a 2026 anime to have two panty shots in the first episode. There is very little animation itself, but its enough to not look odd. Nothing special but if you like your tropes this might be for you. 5/10.
A slice of life seinen about a girl running a cleaning shop. She does laundry, repairs shoes, and interacts with her regulars during her daily life. Animation, art, music, and voice acting are all just about average. There's nothing special here, just a chill and jolly slice of life. 5/10.
A vampire mystery anime but not in the usual sense. This time the detective is the vampire. The art and animation are actually quite good, they work within their style. As a big fan of detective stories, its the mysteries themselves in this anime that fall short for me. There's really nothing of substance and it breaks a lot of the rules that make mysteries interesting in the first place. It's fine, just lacking a hook. 5/10.
A boy used to listen to a girls radio broadcast every night, she didn't have many listeners so it was usually just the two of them. After a while she stopped and had her archives deleted. Now in highschool he is trying to track her down by her voice. He is lead to the schools broadcasting club but its been too long that he can no longer tell which one of them is the girl he is looking for. This is a harem romance anime. The art is just fine, but the animation is quite lack luster. That said, this is an anime about a girls voice, and the voice acting is definitely up to par. I liked what I've seen so far, and have seen a lot of manga readers rate this higher then Quintessential Quintuplets. Worth a shot if you like harem, one girl wanting to be a Vtuber is a bit cringe tho. 6/10.
A regular guy reincarnated as a super op demon was guarding the demon lords castle, until the heros party showed up. He fell in love at first sight with their enchanter lady and askes her out on a date. With the demon lord now vanquishes he heads into town to try and win her heart. The animation is average at best, the art is just generic fantasy too. This was evident during the brief combat scenes. Not that any of that is necessarily bad. This anime seems to focus more on the comedy aspect anyways. Nothing new but I think it's cute. The MC is a bit of a simp tho so it may bother some people. 5/10.
Double length special first episode. A girl wakes up dressed as a maid in a mansion. She is with a group of other girls, all there to take part in a death game. They must escape the mansion by escaping traps, solving problems, and whatever else they may face, all with their lives on the line. This first episode features a few pretty gruesome moments and deaths, although there is no blood which makes it a lot easier to watch. The sound design is fantastic, as well as the voice acting work. The best way I can describe it is soft, until the screams of course. The animation is very odd, and not in a usual way. Some scenes are beautifully animated in detail, but the other half are pretty much minimal with no facial features, motion, or details. The sound and animation design combined delivered a really arty and experimental feel which there's a chance not everyone will appreciate. There is even a moment that features real life images. Very cool anime. 8/10.
This is an isekai. From a young age he was regarded as a prodigy due to his prior life knowledge. As the fourth son of the marquis, it was expected he would develop strong elemental combat magic. After many years studying it's discovered he only has aptitude for the weakest magic, production magic, and is expelled to a remote village. The opening was very weird for this one, both the music and animation lol. The actual anime has fine if average animation, and cuts to chibi sometimes for gags. Voice acting was good too. Personally I'm quite fond of city/nation development anime, so I have a feeling I will enjoy this. A good cast of side character too. 6/10.
As enchanters became more of the meta for adventuring, the hero's party had a swordsman pick it up on the side to help out the party. They replace him down the line for an actual enchanter. The gimmick of the show is our protagonist is a enchanter as well as a swordsman, and is thus quite strong, while everyone thinks hes weaker or a jack of all trades. The art is simple but fine, the action is okay too. Nothing really sets this apart, but it doesn't do anything wrong either. 5/10.
Mushroom Witch. A 'black' witch lives mostly alone out in the woods. Occasionally she will go into town to sell medicine. Wherever she walks, poisonous mushrooms sprout. Anyone that touches her skin is also poisoned and dies, so the villagers are afraid and keep their distance save a select few. There's some things witches can do that humans cannot, and things like romance, that humans can do while witches cannot. A very slow paced anime but has a unique fairytale atmisphere. The music, art style and animation all work together to create the fairytale effect. The witch herself also dosen't talk much. The use of a narrator to convey her thoughts also helps cultivate the fairytale feeling. I'm excited to see how this develops. Its out there and not for everyone, but very interesting. 7/10.
A girl with stats of zero was chosen by the gods to be a hero, the only power she had was having an affinity for reversal, which did nothing. Betrayed by her party and sold to slavery, her only choice is to either roll over and die or pick up a sword. Despite having tropes like the weakest being secretly strong, I felt this anime was actually a bit fresh. The way the protagonist is betrayed by everything is well executed and sets the story up to be exciting going forwards. The animation is fine but nothing incredible, as is the voice acting. The opening theme was suprisingly metal sounding. I was shocked reading the tags to discover this is apparently a girls love anime. 7/10.
A talkative girl who puts a lot of effort into her apperance has a huge crush on the serious quite boy in her class. She tries to talk to him everday, and eventually works up the courage to ask him if he wants to walk home together. The animation and art style of this anime are very unique and colourfull. It compliments the female mc's personality and design really well and makes this romance anime unique. Hand holding and a confession in episode one, I could see this being a very fun watch. That said with the relationship already underway I wonder what antics will keep this interesting to the finish. 7/10.
A tall handsome girl is constantly referred to as a prince by her classmates. Shes very popular and gets confessed to all the time by the girls. At her new school she runs into an older boy that shares the same prince nickname. He treats her like a princess for the first time. This is so good. Melting a tomboy with her first romantic experience is always so peak. This is a shoujo anime, and the artstyle of the characters definitely reflects that classification, which might not be everyone's type. The animation is nice, voice acting pleasant, and romantic moments on point. I'm really looking forwards to seeing this tomboy get swept off her feet. Bonus points that it makes obnoxious yuri fans upset. 7/10.
The same trope of a girl being isekaied into an otome game she was playing, but instead of the heroine, she's the villainess. It's played straight this time with her accepting her fate, and losing her fiancee to the new girl. As she's about to be exiled solely due to the plot demanding it, a new prince intervenes. The art is quite pretty, and all the characters have very shoujo designs. Animation however is very basic, but still fine. Super trope heavy, but I like the trope lol. 5/10.
