My Instant Death Ability is Overpowered

A class on a trip are isekaied and a sage grants all of them except four special powers, and a task in order to see if they can be future sages. The gifted kids abandon the powerless ones to die immediately. But one of them was asleep, and turns out to have instant death to any target magic. This is an isekai but doesn't seem very serious. Its a comedy that out of the box seems fun, but nothing new. "My joke bombed, and it angered me, so I killed him". 6/10.

The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic

THIS IS NOT REDO OF HEALER. With that out of the way, loser gets accidentally summoned to another world alongside two of his talented classmates to become hero's. He has the rare affinity for healing magic, and gets basically kidnapped to be trained by a strong rescue squad woman. A big focus on the comedy in this one, animation is decent but a bit odd. 5/10.

A Sign of Affection

Deaf college girl falls in love for the first time. The art style is really cute for the most of it. As a semi-deaf person myself I have a few big issues with it, but for regular people its just a nice adult romance. 6/10.

Delicious in Dungeon

A monster obsessed knight, a comic straight man elf lady, and the goal to cook and eat tasty food made out of monsters from the dungeon. Its a Kadokawa series, on netflix, done by studio Trigger. Out of the gate this seems like good shit. 8/10.

The Demon Prince of Momochi House

This is a shoujo that I heard hyped up a bit. The character dynamics, progression and writing all felt very unnatural. The art style of the characters, and animation in general was also not very appealing. Even the apparent overarching plot (that I haven't bothered to mention) is extremely weak. Only positive is that there was technically a kiss episode one. 3/10.

The Unwanted Undead Adventurer

I like it a lot. I recommend watching the ending animation as it seems to hint as to how the series will progress. An adventurer who was making no progress up the ranks finds an unexplored area in a dungeon. Exploring it solo he dies to a dragon and wakes up as an undead. He remembers hearing that undead can evolve, and finds himself becoming stronger then he was while human. You can think of it like a standard isekai despite it not being one. Done by the studio who did Strike the Blood, and animation looks good. 7/10.

The Way of Pon

Character design is really good, but its just cute girls playing mahjong lol. There's also some cute animal mahjong spirits that teach them how to play as they all just kinda chill around a parlor they have to themselves. It sounds silly but I'm kinda vibing with it ngl. 7/10.

Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki 2nd Stage

I loved season one, and it makes a brilliant return! A pro smash player starts treating life like a game and tries to be normal + a hint of romance. Great all around. 8/10.

Classroom of the Elite Season 3

Jumping right into the 'action' there's no time wasted getting into the next sticky situation. Its just classroom of the elite doing its thing. Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss. 8/10.

The Strongest Tank's Labyrinth Raids

Arrogant hero kicks his tank out of the party. The tank just wanted to clear the dungeon to get a treasure that could heal his younger sister. We later find out that the tank a very good tank. Its a very basic show, with a very basic theme. 5/10.

Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!

A lot of cliché's and fan service. Tokyo boy moves out to Hokkaido, and meets a gyaru that latches onto him. Very average overall but it is still a romance, and the girl is voiced by the same VA as Yotsuba from quints. 5/10.

Tales of Wedding Rings

Ecchi Harem. Bland Protag follows his childhood friend through a portal back to her world, and she marries his. Wearing the wedding ring gives him the power of light to repel evil monsters. Art is subpar most of the time, plot is non existent. Only part given attention to detail seems to be the actual ecchi scenes (mouth). 4/10.

Solo Leveling

I've actually read the source for this, so I know the sort of antics to come. Even knowing all that, watching this ep I thought the production and overall style was really average. Leaning on giving it lower tbh, but for now. 7/10.

MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES Season 2

The love child of Black Clover x One Punch Man x Harry Potter returns. This season and last the first episode is fantastic. Last season the quality dropped near the end, assuming the same will happen with the second season. 7/10.

Ishura

Death and action right out of the gate. The whole show seems to be a container for fight scenes between powerful individuals. The action and world seem good enough. The animation is kinda just alright. It looks almost a bit glossy at times, and I'm pretty sure I saw cgi robots and explosions. 5/10.

7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!

It's another Villainess anime, this time not technically an isekai. It's a romance and shoujo so that tells you what you need to know. Princess keeps reliving her life, each time around she learns new things before dying in a war. On her 7th life she meets the man who started the war. I was not expecting much from this series, but was very pleasantly surprised, it's actually good. 7/10.

Gushing Over Magical Girls

A ecchi parody of a normal magical girl show. The main girl is a fan of magical girls, and gets chosen and blackmailed by a mascot character to be the villain. This develops into her being a super sadist and she torments the main trio of magical girls. I heard this was an ecchi, but the comedy is the real star. Its incredibly funny. Everything from the writing to the voice acting are on point. It also released with a tie-in browser based block breaker https://mahoako-anime.com/blockgame/, that rewards you with a lewd jpeg upon winning. 8/10.

The Dangers in My Heart Season 2

It's literally so peak. When the first season was airing it was one of my most looked forward to anime every week. It's the rare romance that gets better every episode. I'm so glad it's back and the quality is still great. 9/10.

TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2

One of the best of the more recent power fantasy isekai. Season two is scheduled for 25 episodes so I'm hyped. Episode one stayed true to the first season so it's sure to be good. 8/10.

Snack Basue

I don't know how this one even got onto my watch list, it was really far down on the seasonal rankings. It's a comedy seinen about just regular conversations/banter at a snack bar in Sapporo. The studio has only really done chibi-ish stuff in the past like isekai quartet, so it has a strange style to it, but its not bad. If the drinking vibe + seinen is for you, this might be a hidden gem. Full length episodes by the way. 6/10.

The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil

What's up with so many guys getting collared in the 2024 anime season? It starts off very bland, and the art style doesn't do it any favours. Demons and Angels are beefing, and this demon guy gets found out by a disguised angel at his school. Instead of killing him, she forces a collar on him, and makes him help her with things. The whole thing felt like a drag. 3/10.

Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I'm Not the Demon Lord

This episode did a huge bait and switch. It baits you into thinking it will follow the otome games protagonist, and then switches to the real plot of the girl who reincarnated as the villainess. The trailers looked hype, and the first episode met expectations. Nothing too crazy happened so far but the set up is there. 7/10.

Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!

Are you a filthy fujoshi? Then this is for you. Even if you aren't it was pretty cute. Office worker turns 30 while being a virgin and awakens his wizard powers. The power to read minds of people he touches. With this power he finds out his popular male coworker is in love with him... then he ends up sleeping over.... Everything looks solid, dudes are cute, its an adult romance(?), I don't like BL but even I found it good. 6/10.

Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp

Super nurse lady is the reincarnation of some old ruler, and she dies again in a plane crash. She reincarnates again and seems to be back with her old family but its not really clear. Apparently adapted from a manwha? Idk the art was mid, the pacing was slower than a snail, characters boring, and medical aspects almost comedic with how much it was dramatized. 3/10.

Sengoku Youko

I honestly didn't really understand too much, but its a shounen so its not that important. 37 episode runtime, so I don't think il keep up with it anyways. One kid looks like Inuyasha, the other like a naruto. The animation is actually nice so it probably has decent potential. 5/10.

Metallic Rouge

An anime original by studio bones. Cool character designs, and a great soundtrack. I was really looking forwards to this and was whelmed. Its a sci-fi story and not much is explained. The plot is hazy and the action scene was short. This episode felt a bit off but I really hope it gets better. I really really want to like it, but off episode one its just a 6/10.

The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash

It's technically an isekai, but doesn't feel like any I've seen before. It's a story about an unwanted girl finding other unwanted creatures, and finding solace together. The animation and music is beautiful, the studio has not done too much previously, but they did do the cyberpunk edge runners opening, and the MarinexGura city pop song video. You probably either vibe with it hard, or don't at all. I liked it a lot. 7/10.

Chained Soldier

This one was hyped up a decent amount. World where women get special powers and men don't. Portals randomly abduct people to a hazardous dimension, so there's a squad of women who save them. A man who wants a fulfilling job gets trapped in one of these, and saved by an officer with the special power 'slave'.  He gets chained and transforms into a beast during battle, then she has to give him an equal reward after (ecchi). He agrees to work fulltime with her, and is now her slave in battle, and caretaker for the rest of the squad. The ecchi is good, the battles are alright. The monsters tho.... are cgi, but blended decently with the 2d. Tldr its trash. 6/10.

BUCCHIGIRI?!

It's an anime original, done by MAPPA, with the director of SK∞ the Infinity. With all that said I'm shocked I haven't heard anyone even mention this show. It gives off a nostalgic anime style and looks incredible (guess the JJKs2 budget went here). I honestly don't really understand the plot, but there's two gangs at school, and some magic fighting powers. It mentions Majin, and apparently has some Arabic references (look at the ed). I definitely need to see more since this was awesome. 8/10.

The Witch and the Beast

This manga was hyped up, and the anime seems to be delivering. Its a seinen dark fantasy + drama, but not set in the usual medieval context. One of the selling points is the artstyle, and the studio seems to be sticking to it well. Seems to be the plot is tracking down a specific with to break her curse. Really neat first episode, I'm interested to see it develop. 7/10.

Isekai Onsen Paradise

Episodes are very short, around 4 minutes. They include an opening too, so the actual content is only half of its total run time. With that said the animation is nice, it has a naked fox girl, the voice actress for the elf girl is a vtuber, and the theme itself is enjoyable. Short, sweet, chill and 8/10.
