Lonely guy works all day, so he bought a home appliance to cook and do his chores, a robot. Coming home to a warm meal, he wonders if this is what having a wife is like. The art style and animation is really nice, its by Tezuka productions who worked on stuff like Dororo. It can be a bit unsettling seeing a robotxhuman relationship, but it was honestly pretty cute. 7/10.
I've heard tons of people hype this up even before its anime was announced, so i've been looking forwards to it. Tsudere beauty says her true feelings aloud in Russian. The dude too embarrassed to tell her, he actually knows Russian. Its tagged as a romcom, but also ecchi. Foot bros won in this episode. The animation is nice, but apparently lots is cut out from the manga. Just episode one is already 7 chapters adapted.... 7/10.
Human mage is disguised in the demon lords army, uses revolutionary tactics like mercy to rule captured towns well and makes an impact. A studio I've never heard of is doing this show. The animation is fine, but importantly its consistent. The ost isn't worth mentioning. It's as average as it gets, but at least it has some cute girls I guess. 4/10.
30 year old guild clerk decides he wants to try being an adventurer despite being really old. He gets trained (read as tortured) by the strongest party for two years, and finally takes the adventurer rank e test. The animation is really nice, and the opening song surprised me. It's a really fun fantasy comedy, but some people could be turned away by the MC being a bit ignorant of his own strength. 7/10.
NOT ACTUALLY A HAREM. A story of two theatre club students. The guy laments that he wishes he had a popular phase since he always wanted a harem. The girl, uses her acting skills to switch between different harem tropes to give him a pseudo harem. The actual content is really cute, but I'm not totally sold on the art. My main concern is I'm worried how sustainable the gimmick will be over the course of a season without getting stale. The ending theme animation is really cool. 6/10.
This was a breath of fresh air. Episode one is literally called I parry a cow, (spoiler its not a cow lol). Boy is orphaned but had always heard his dad tell him tales of adventurers. Wanting to be one he tries to register, but has no skills. He tries everything but the only skill he managed to acquire is parry. He trains his parry for years, but is still only able to register as an f-rank doing odd jobs around town, The art style is plain, simple, and surprisingly charming. And I mean that in the best way possible. The ost is also perfect. Really good, i hope it keeps up. 7/10.
The only mystery/psychological thriller of the season. It manifests itself as a death game. A figure who calls themselves the emperor asks a summited yes or no question daily. If you're the majority you die. Its very meh. Characters are rather uninteresting, but the animation is fine being from statelight. It's running for two cours, but I don't know if it can stay interesting for that long... 5/10.
Very similar to Arifureta. School bus is taken to another world where they meat a goddess. She informs them they all have powers, have to defeat the demon lord to return, and sorts them into ranks. The MC gets the lowest rank, and is sent away to a labyrinth to die to not hold the rest of them back. Ofc hes pissed and swears to get revenge. I liked Arifureta so its alright, but the animation is kinda bad and uses cgi. 4/10.
There's dungeons in the world, and a student is out killing slimes with bug spray. He gets a rare drop to summon a valkyrie in the dungeon, and decides to keep it instead of selling it for a billion. The animation is honestly very average, but its fine I guess. Just plain boring if anything. Nothing really stood out and the whole thing felt really dull. 4/10.
Dudes dad remarries and he gets a step sister. They have to navigate their new relationship. Its by studio deen and actually looks pretty. Its suspiciously tagged psychological? alongside the expected romance, school, and slice of life tags. It's interesting since it actually takes the time to show the characters relationships from each of their perspectives, and we even get some parent action. Very calm and more serious vibes. Cute after credit scene. 7/10.
Not quite what you would expect from the title. It's not selling goods, its reporting bugs. Bug tester stuck reporting bugs in the world. I won't say much more, since the episode ends with a dark twist and spoiler. Its tagged as seinen so expect it to be more mature. The artstyle is reminiscent of like a mix between ascendence of a bookworm and delicious in dungeon. Its a bit slow but let it cook. 6/10.
Office worker dies without achieving anything. She reincarnates as a child, the daughter of a magical artificer. Seeing her father make magic tools she wants to do it to. Using her past knowledge to come up with ideas, but first she has to get good enough. The show is very pretty looking, and comfy. It's a shoujou slice of life so know that going in. Might be one of the good vibe shows of the season. 7/10.
It's by P.A. Works, and an original, so I was expecting better. Its a cheerleading anime, and unfortunately the actual cheerleading is CGI. If you like LoveLive this might be for you. Not much else to say. 4/10.
Very fluffy slice of life, isekai, adventure show. Basically someone isekaied to a fantasy world, finds some children, and raises them while they adventure. It looks alright, the studio animating it has actually done a lot of shows I like, but nothing special. Simulcast in dub for maximum comfy. 5/10.
Beautifully done by Cloverworks. A historical shounen. The heir to the country of japan, who has a talent for being elusive, loses everything after the samurai turn traitor. Aided only by a fake priest, his goal? overthrow the shogunate. Was not sure what to expect going into this, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Most likely due to it being a historical show, it actually contains blood and gore in the first episode. Unexpected for a shounen. If you want action this season, this is it. 8/10.
A gloomy writer and his lovers double suicide is interrupted by the isekai truck. Upon spawning in another world he immediately tries to kill himself by overdosing on pills. He realizes his love might have also made it here, so he sets off to find her so they can double suicide together. Very well animated, very funny, and more of an isekai parody. Kinda like a konosuba if it was actually funny. Fun show. 7/10.
Went into this expecting a my dress up darling rip off, and its definitely the walmart clearance sale version. Otaku vowed off 3D women and is totally dedicated to his 2D waifu. He runs the manga club at his school, but all the other members graduated. A new girl shows up wanting to join, and she's just as much of an otaku as he is. She confesses she wants to cosplay the sexy characters, and asks him to be her photographer. This 2.5D might not be so bad... Animated by J.C. Staff visually its pretty cute. Seems in the future some more girls join the club, and it goes harem. Very much on the ecchi side, but still cute. Girl looks a lot like Mashu from FGO. Scheduled for 24 episodes somehow btw. 7/10.
People are touting this as having some of the best animation this season, I'm not sure I totally agree. In a world of magic there are five great mages who hold up the sky, a magicless student at the magic academy made a promise to a childhood friend that they would stand atop the tower together. She was the youngest to ever make it, meanwhile he's skirting expulsion, and has to fight in the dungeon for credits. Classic tropes but it checks out, and manga readers have vouched for it. The animation especially in battle is really nice. Everything looks 2D but you can tell that there's 3D under the hood. Not my favorite, but it allows for some dynamic shots. If you want shounen magic school fantasy this is for you. 7/10.
Oh a new tower of god season, the last one feels like... oh my god it aired in 2020... I don't remember too much so its weird to jump back in but FUCK RACHEL. Animation and ost are both really nice, and the story seems to be picking right up from where it left off. The episode introduces some new characters right away who all seem fun. I heard the manwha is actually still ongoing, so I'm interested to see how this is received. 8/10.
In a world where the five major races hate each other, a soldier for the side of humanity watches as the entire world suddenly reincarnates around him to a version where humanity lost. The story seems interesting so far and definitely has potential. That said the animation and score are nothing special. It does get some points since at least so far the giant demons shown have not been cgi. 7/10.
Fuwamoco tweeted they were excited for this... what did they mean by that. Twin girls were childhood friends with this nerdy dude. Both had a crush on him. It shows events from both girls POV. This episode had so much content in it I won't spoil anything more. Its tagged as romance, school, and comedy, but where's the comedy this is all spicy drama. Love triangle guilt feelings breaker. The animation is by a studio I don't recognize, MAL says its their first real anime, but its beautiful. If love triangle is your thing this is for you. 6/10.
From Hyouka's author. Two students trying to become ordinary so they can have peace. But they encounter mysterious situations. The animation is some of the best this season, and it creates an awesome vibe combined with the soundtrack. It's airing for 10 episodes. No drama or romance tags, just mystery and school. Its a bit of a shame since the two main characters are so cute together, but its okay I guess. Tons of screenshot potential. Almost an 8 from me, but we'll see how it develops. 7/10.
We've got a trap. Dude who cross dresses at school is asked out by a first year girl. When he reveals to her that he's actually a man, she says that's even better. The art is nice in most scenes, but there's frequent switches to a scribbly low quality version for comedic effect. The girl perusing him is cute and has lots of energy, so she should make it entertaining. 5/10
A girl who often forgets to take care of herself is a magical girl. The evil lieutenant falls in love with her at first sight, so instead of fighting he buys her gifts and tries to talk her into quitting. The art is pretty by studio BONES, and it has some funny lines. Episodes are only 12 minutes long so its easy to get through. Sadly the mangaka passed away after only making 20 chapters. 7/10.
Girl is fighting a floor boss in a dungeon when suddenly there's a break in the wall that reveals a fully furnished room. The dungeon master, a small girl, appears to repair the wall and offers the adventurer a job to help her manage the dungeon. The art is very round and soft looking. Seems like a very comfy show all around. 5/10.
3 minute episodes with an ending included in that time. Animation is terrible. Story? idk if you can even call it that. 1/10.
This is a sequel to a show from a few season ago. It ended in a good place so I was surprised to see this. All the girls are still around and the same as ever. It's still an ecchi harem show, and the first episode had its moments. The appeal of the new season seems to be a rival café opening with new girls, but they were only briefly shown. Expecting much of the same. 6/10.
I saw this before the viral marketing campaign took off, and expected it to be a hit. The perfect highschool girl is trying to hide her past as a delinquent, when she finds herself involved with a deer girl. The deer girls antlers pick up that she was a delinquent, so she's constantly trying to keep her quiet. This results in both of them forming the schools deer club. Animated by wit studio its not what you would expect. There are blatant cgi deer purposely scattered throughout, and the art style switches around for comedic effect. As a comedy anime its content is subjective but it includes tons of parody, references, and visual gags. Bonus points for bringing attention to the Nara deer of japan. 7/10.
In a world of animal people, there's a lone human girl. Lonely she picked up the sword and was trained by her master. Forced to forget him she sets out on an adventure to try and find a place where she belongs. This anime is action adventure fantasy, and I'm happy to report that the animation and score are great. The real draw for me was the world building. After just the first episode I'm drying to learn more about the creatures that live there, some world systems, and how she got there. Definitely has potential. 7/10.
A1-Pictures killed it with this one. An average guy sees a girl get rejected at a dinner. She can't talk to any of her friends about how upsetting it was, so instead she vents to him over lunch. Absolutely beautiful animation on this one. It's supposed to be a romcom but if I'm being honest both the romance and the comedy are very subtle and not in your face. They are both certainly there, but there doesn't seem to be any romance between the mc and the girl, which is unusual for a show like this. Anyways the girl has blue hair and was a childhood friend so she was fated to be rejected. 7/10.

post review update.
the animes official website has some fun bonus material they updates every episode. Like a calorie count for all the food one of the girls eats, and a character relationship chart.
Adapted from a highly rated 2020 visual novel. In a world where the sea level is steadily rising and already reclaimed many costal towns, a boy who lost his leg goes down in a submarine to find some rumored treasure at his grandmas house. He finds a humanoid robot named Atri. A debt collector wants to sell her, but he's undecided. The animation is beautiful done by studio TROYCA, but the real standout was the stellar voice acting work. A drama romance anime that came loaded with charm, i have a feeling this might hurt. My only worry is that its scheduled for 13 episodes, which might not be enough time for a visual novels story to properly develop. 8/10.
I had a lot to say about the first season of oshi no ko, and most of it still applies to the second season. Its the same studio doing the animation and same producers. So expect basically the same quality. The story itself jumps a bit from where it left off. The current focus is a stage play adaptation involving our cast of actors, while Aqua is still doing his little classroom of the elite act. Kana still cute, Ruby still shipped. 8/10.
Its been years since I saw the first season, and it was a really enjoyable 5/10 show. Season two jumps right into the story where the first season left off which made it a bit hard to remember what was even going on. The animation and designs have had a downgrade, which is a shame since silver link usually delivers. I expect just like the first season it will be a nice brainless watch. 5/10.

update: as stated here, the production has been postponed at episode 4 indefinitely due to quality issues. Hopefully the animation is back to s1 level after it returns.
A group of vampire nobility begrudgingly taking care of their children themselves instead of letting a nanny do it, in order to enlist the help of one of their members in solving a serial murder case. It's done by J.C. Staff so I was expecting much better animation. The backgrounds are highly detailed, and majority of the art itself has style. The animation of the art on the other hand feels stiff. There was a lot of baby crying in the audio which I'm not personally a fan of, but I expect it will lessen over the course of the anime as the kids hopefully grow out of it. Overall childcare isn't my type of show, so despite it seeming to only be a modest part of all this anime has to offer i'm probably dropping it here. 4/10.
