Despite harsh weather and heavy snowfall, our community stood united in unwavering solidarity with Rojava at Calgary City Hall. Kurds, alongside our allies-including Druze, Alawites, and others from across our society, gathered to raise their voices against tyranny and the ethnic cleansing of Kurds and other minorities in Rojava and North Syria.
Our chants, resistance, unity, and determination warmed us more than any fire ever could.
Hand in hand, we condemned the violence and atrocities committed against our people and demanded protection, justice, and an immediate end to the terror, famine, and suffering imposed by jihadist forces.
This was not just a protest, it was a powerful stand for dignity, justice, and human integrity.
