Privacy Policy for KungFuIronBodyPath
Last updated: 2026
1. The short version
KungFuIronBodyPath keeps your training record on your phone. There is no sign-up, no profile
on our side, and no account to lose. We do not run analytics, we do not embed advertising
networks, and we do not pass your training data to anyone in order to sell it.
2. What the app writes down
The app records only what you enter while you train: the lineage you chose, the forms you have
marked as learned, the training days you have opened and closed, the conditioning sets you have
logged, your stance checks with their scores and notes, your sash promotions, and the badges you
have unlocked. Photographs you take for a stance check are stored as image files inside the
app's own container. All of it is written to a private file that only KungFuIronBodyPath can
read. Nothing about your device, your contacts, your location, or your other apps is read or
recorded.
3. Removing what the app holds
Because the record never leaves your device, there is no server-side copy to request or erase.
Settings offers a reset that empties the vault and the stored stance photographs in one step.
Deleting the app from your phone removes everything the app ever wrote, immediately and
permanently.
4. Stance Lab and the hosted analysis service
Stance Lab is the only feature in the app that uses the network, and it only does so when you
choose to run a check. Before your first check the app shows you a notice screen and waits for
you to accept it. When you confirm a photograph, the app sends that single image plus the name
of the stance you selected to OpenAI, which runs the gpt-4o-mini model and returns a score
between 0 and 100 together with a short list of written corrections. Nothing else travels with
it: no name, no identifier, no other photograph, and none of your saved training history.
OpenAI's handling of that request is described at
https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
If you never accept the notice, or never run a check, the app makes no network requests at all.
5. Children
KungFuIronBodyPath is written for people training under, or preparing to train under, a martial
arts instructor. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly gather
information from them.
6. A note on what the app is not
The scores and corrections produced by Stance Lab are supplementary feedback from an automated
system. They are not a qualified assessment, they do not grade you, and they never replace the
instructor watching you in the training hall. Conditioning work carries the ordinary risks of
physical training; stop if something hurts.
7. Revisions to this policy
If the way the app handles your data changes, this document is rewritten and the date at the top
is moved forward. Continuing to use the app after that date means the revised text applies.
