At Kundali One, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how our mobile application handles user and device data.
Kundali One performs all Vedic astrology calculations locally on your device. We do not run background database servers, profile your chart details, or store your personal history on any external servers.
To generate your personal astronomical charts, planetary placements, and Dasha timelines, the app processes the following details:
Date of Birth and Time of Birth: Used locally to compute Julian Day values and planetary positions.
Location Data (Place of Birth): Used to calculate local sidereal time (Lagna) and geographic coordinate adjustments. You can input this manually by typing or choose to use your device's GPS sensor.
If you explicitly grant the app permission to access your location and click the "Use GPS Location" button, the app uses your device's GPS coordinates (Latitude and Longitude) to automatically identify your birth town. We do not track your location in the background or share your real-time coordinates with third parties.
When searching for a birth city or using GPS coordinates, the app communicates with the Nominatim OpenStreetMap Geocoding API (https://nominatim.openstreetmap.org) to fetch coordinates and timezone offsets. This request is limited to the text query you type or the coordinates you select. No personal identification, accounts, or device identifiers are shared with Nominatim.
No Cloud Storage: We do not upload your birth details, names, or locations to cloud servers.
Local State: Your birth details are stored in your device's secure local memory state to maintain calculations while the app is active. You can clear this data at any time by closing the app or selecting "New Chart."
Our app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. Because no personal identification information is collected or sent to servers, our application is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Since your calculations run entirely on your local hardware, your data is protected from server-side security breaches. We recommend keeping your mobile device secure and updating your operating system regularly.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
