I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at Florida State University.

In the traditional Chinese name order, my full name is “Meng Kun,” which sounds somewhat similar to “Michael” or “Mike” in English. You’re welcome to call me by my given name, Kun (pronounced “Kwuhn”), or by my English name, Michael or Mike. I’m comfortable with either.

• My current research interests include (i) topological data analysis, (ii) manifold learning, (iii) fMRI data analysis, and (iv) Euler calculus. My previous research interest was in harmonic analysis and dispersive partial differential equations.
