Dr. Yoshihara go the Bachelor of Doctor Dental Surgery, Dental School, Okayama University, Japan.  Then she started to conduct research at Okayama University in 2017 towards her first PhD degree, which she obtained in 2011 at Okayama University. She continued her research during 2010-2014 at KU Leuven (Leuven, Belgium), based on which she obtained her second PhD degree at KU Leuven. She was assistant Professor at the Center for Innovative Clinical Medicine, Okayama University Hospital, Japan from 2014-2019. Since 2019, she became a senior researcher at Health Research Institute, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. With this research work she greatly contributed to the further advancement of dental adhesive technology. She has published so far 73 papers in peer-reviewed international scientific journals. She got the IADR STEPHEN BAYNE MID-CAREER AWARD in 2020 and the IADR/AADR William J. Gies Award for the best paper published in the Journal of Dental Research in 2014.
