As a USSF sanctioned event, all competitors must be registered members of the United States Sumo Federation. You may register here for a $25 annual membership.
Due to the dress code of our venue, all athletes will have their torso covered.
We recommend wearing underneath the mawashi: a wrestling singlet or leotard, rashguard (as used in no-gi BJJ), or tight-fitting athletic clothing; loose clothing that an opponent may grab is not advised.
Loaner mawashi (sumo belts) will be available for those new to the sport!
