Dr. Praveen Kumar

Dr. Praveen Kumar is currently working in the area of Applied Optics. He is passionate about light shaping and sensing, which are useful in optical imaging, vision science, information optics, and material processing. Before joining IIT Bhilai, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Houston, USA. He also worked as a JSPS fellow at Chiba University, Japan. He did PhD from IIT Patna, MSc from NIT Jamshedpur, and BSc from St. Xavier's College Ranchi. He is a member of the Optical Society of India, Optica, and ARVO. He has received KVRSS Research Award and OSI Best PhD Thesis Award at IIT Delhi. He has published more than 20 papers in reputed international journals.
