Brief Profile:
Dr. Alok Kumar is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Engineering Department of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujarat, India. Prior to SVNIT Surat, he served as a Member Research Staff (Scientist) at Central Research Lab - Bharat Electronics Limited (CRL-BEL), Bangalore from December-2019 to June-2021. Mr. Kumar received bachelor's degree (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana, India. He received master's degree (M.E.) in Information Security from Thapar University, India. In July 2015, he joined as a full-time PhD Research Scholar in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal. He carried out his PhD research work under the supervision of Dr. Alwyn R. Pais and defended his PhD thesis in November 2019. He has published 10 articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences of international repute. His current areas of research are Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things, Information Security and Blockchain.
