Making artwork is one way of “the relation of human being and nature” for me.
I think that it is an act to produce the points of contact between “nature” with “myself”.
I devise methods that material gets unique form and pattern by the relation with the natural phenomenon like gravity, change of the temperature, rain and snow and practice it.
In making of this way, I feel something like identity to the material.
The image of my making is relation that three match with of “a human being” and “nature” and “the material” not binary opposition-like relations of “human being” and “nature”.
In the middle of making, the material is like the meeting place where the phenomenon meets me.
From such a viewpoint that I feel the phenomenon to transform material with skin, it may call different phases of my skin.
Through such a making, I think about nature of the big scale such as mass and movement of the earth or the atmosphere and the water cycle, which link the phenomenon before eyes. It is the experience that is again aware of a body perceiving the phenomenon.
The unique form and pattern that material gets after such a process is a state of the world order or the flow of power that we cannot see with the eyes of human beings.
I think that such an action to share experience, memory and time with the materials is a sculpture.
By making and displaying artworks, I resist underlying consciousness of our life such as human being-oriented viewpoints and relationship of the subject and the object. I plan to show the place that is a chance to arouse curiosity and imagination to the things around us.
