Kuan-Yu Lu 陸冠宇

Hi, I'm Kuan-Yu Lu. I'm currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in Stony Brook University.

I won the Max A. Eaton award for my paper presented at the 36th AMS Conference on Hurricanes and Tropical Meteorology. 🥳

I am interested in tropical cyclones (typhoons, hurricanes) dynamics, tropical climatology, planetary Rossby wave dynamics, and boundary layer dynamics.

My recent work is exploring the planetary Rossby wave drag on tropical convective vortex structure, and tropical cyclone genesis climatology.

Experienced in geophysical fluid dynamical theory development, numerical modeling, and climate diagnosis with reanalyses.
