Our laboratory is interested in understanding how the aging immune system influences T cell and B cell immunity in response to infections and vaccination. Primary research goals are to identify the molecular basis of those age-associated alterations in protective immunity and thereby find ways to rejuvenate the aging immune system to improve human health and healthy aging.

The major research goals we are investigating are :
(1) to define immunological hallmarks of the aging immune system and age-associated diseases
(2) to identify the molecular mechanisms of age-associated alterations of T cell and B cell immunity in humans
(3) to find therapeutic interventions targeting disregulated immune pathways to cure age-related immune disorders
