During my studies and research at Tokyo Tech, especially at Tokimatsu Lab, there were many things that made me develop personally, both in terms of academics and personality and way of thinking. Tokimatsu Sensei always provided the best guidance for me and was able to increase my learning motivation to be more active and always enthusiastic about my 2 year study period pursuing master's degree. Tokimatsu Sensei is a passionate lecturer, even though I'm often wrong. Sensei was always there to guide me, pointing out what was right and wrong. Tokimatsu sensei and my colleagues in the lab always help and guide each other, in this lab we feel happy. Sensei always guide my thesis clearly and easy to understand. So we have learned a lot from Tokimatsu Sensei.
The most significant difference from the research system at Tokimatsu Lab is that each student can set their own research and study patterns, but they must be responsible for their choices as long as they are still in the research field of Tokimatsu sensei. The most important positive value that I got while studying and researching at Tokimatsu Lab is, of course, independence and a sense of responsibility. It became a quality of self that I don't think I would be able to get anywhere else.
Being a master's degree student in the environmental and society department, especially at the Tokimatsu Lab, I gained my environmental analysis skills and became more aware of the deeper knowledge of the role of waste management. I also understand about the role and function of each pillar of sustainability as well as life cycle assessment of waste management in several countries. Hopefully the knowledge that I get can be an advantage for my country, Indonesia.Â
