Ktbby ("the App", "we", "us") is a free educational app that provides access to Saudi school curriculum materials — textbooks, answer keys, exam models, lesson explanations, term plans, school bulletins, the academic calendar, and study tools (grade/percentage calculators, exam reminders).
This policy explains what information the App handles and how. In short: the App has no user accounts, shows no ads, uses no analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not send any personal information to us or to any third party.Everything you save in the App stays on your device.

Do we have servers that receive your data?

We do not collect, store, or transmit:
Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
Your location
Your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera
Advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID) or any device fingerprint
Any behavioral or usage analytics
The App contains no third-party advertising, marketing, or analytics software development kits.
To make the App useful, the following is saved locally on your device using on-device storage. It is never uploaded, and it is deleted when you clear it in the App or uninstall the App:
Favorites and recently opened files
Reading progress (last page you reached) and a local "views" counter per file (used only to sort "Most requested" on your device)
Downloaded files you chose to save for offline reading, and the temporary cache of files/data you have viewed
Exam dates you add in "My Exams", used to schedule local reminders
App settings: theme, text size, whether you have seen the intro, and whether you dismissed the rating card
Cached content data (the curriculum catalog and calendar data) so the App can work with a poor connection
You can remove this data at any time via Settings → Clear temporary cache, My Downloads → Delete all, by deleting individual items, or by uninstalling the App.
The App downloads content over the internet:
Catalog and calendar data from ktbbysaa.com
PDF files (books, solutions, exams, explanations) hosted on third-party educational file hosts, and school bulletins from official Ministry of Education pages
These are ordinary web (HTTPS GET) requests. As with any internet request, the servers that host this content automatically receive standard technical information such as your IP address, device/user-agent string, and the time of the request. We do not control those third-party hosts and do not receive this information from them. We do not add any tracking parameters, cookies, or identifiers to these requests.
External links (e.g., the Ministry of Education, universities, Noor, Madrasati) open in your device's browser and are then governed by those websites' own privacy policies.
If you add exam dates in "My Exams" and grant notification permission, the App schedules local reminders (one week before and one day before each exam). These notifications are created and delivered entirely on your device. No notification service or server is involved, and no data leaves your device.
The App may occasionally ask you to rate it, and provides a "Rate the app" button. This uses your platform's built-in rating feature (Apple SKStoreReviewController on iOS, Google Play In-App Review on Android). Any review you choose to submit is handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies. The App does not see or store your rating.

The App does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or calendar access.
The "Share" feature uses your device's standard share sheet and only shares the title and public link of a file when you explicitly tap Share. Nothing is shared automatically.
The App is intended for students, including children, and is designed to be safe for them: it collects no personal information, contains no advertising, includes no social features, chat, or user-generated content, and does no tracking or profiling. Because we do not collect personal data from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information, contact us and we will address it.
Because no personal data is collected or transmitted by the App, there is no personal data on our side to secure. Content is fetched over encrypted HTTPS connections. Data saved in the App is stored in the operating system's private, app-sandboxed storage on your device.
We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
