Capstone Talks and Informational Event

We will be having an event on January 31, 2019 from 2:30-3:20pm in Cardwell 143 in which participants from the Fall 2018 DRP will be giving capstone talks on what they learned during their DRP. We will also be answering any questions that potential participants (mentor or mentee) may have about the program. We hope to see you there!

Our first semester comes to a successful conclusion!

We have concluded our first semester of the program! Fall 2018 is in the books. We had 9 pairings this semester. Of the mentees who participated in the KSU DRP this semester, several will give talks at the start of the Spring 2019 semester (either in late January or early February) that give us a taste of what they have worked on and learned. Stay tuned for more details on the date and time that we will be having the talks.

In the mean time;

If you are a mentee who participated in the KSU DRP during the fall 2018 semester, please provide us with some feedback on how the program went by filling out one of our exit surveys HERE!

If you are a KSU undergraduate who is interested in doing a DRP with us next semester, please fill out a mentee application form HERE!

KSU DRP is formed!

After attending a DRP Network conference in May 2018, Jake Pichelmeyer and Prem Prasain decided to create a Directed Reading Program (DRP) at K-state! They are joined by Lauren White. The three will form the first Oversight Committee of the KSU DRP. All three are doctoral students in mathematics at KSU.

The KSU DRP will pair Mentors and Mentees for the first time this fall 2018 semester. We look forward to seeing how it goes!
