I have OctoPi 0.17.0 with 1.5.3 Octoprint running on my RPi4. Just wonder :

1 - Do a need to update to 0.18.0 ?

2 - If yes, how without starting from a virgin setup ? Is it possible to update OctoPi to 0.18.0 with a script or/and some ssh commands ?

3 - Plugins and Octoprint will continue to receive updates on 0.17.0 ?

After that I changed multiplication of solid white from 0.2 to 0.18. And this time I got perfect match with Resolve analyzer showing 15 nit and 10 bit value 340. Then I changed ODT mid gray from 15 to 20 nit and get 10 bit value 365 and again perfect match with Resolve nits scale in analyzer showing 20 nit.

I checked LogC white paper. There 18% mid gray is full scale 10 bit value 400. Which actually maps to 0.18 in linear gamma. I was sure it will show 0.2, to be honest.

All things being equal yes that would be true. In electrical power (measured in watts - W) is voltage times amps. So a 12v, 0.18a fan would use 2.16W and the 12v, 0.16a would use 1.92W. So like a higher wattage light bulb is is brighter a higher wattage motor would probably produce more power and turn the fan faster.

A whole slew of Nvidia updates arrived today (525.147.05-7~deb12u1) and it built and installed ok for kernel 6.1.0.18.

But when I tried to boot that kernel, instead of 6.5.0.0, it was the completely wrong resolution, like 640x480.

With this in mind, it wouldn't make sense to mark 0.18 stable before most of the above is finished. We made 0.18 a major version because it will break mods with all the changes we are making, and while initially it hasn't broken that much, many things to come will have a bigger impact, such as the Character GUI.

Initially we planned for the Character GUI to be in the first 0.18 release. However the task was proving quite difficult the way it was written, and when the release date came it was not ready, so we delayed the entire 0.18.0 release (twice).  Purpose : The FDA approved corticosteroid implants for the treatment of posterior uveitis include the 0.59-mg fluocinolone acetonide implant, the 0.7-mg dexamethasone implant, and the 0.18-mg fluocinolone acetonide implant, which gained FDA clearance in October 2018. The 0.18-mg implant is marketed for up to 36 months duration. There is currently little long-term data regarding its efficacy.

 Methods : All patients with a diagnosis of posterior uveitis at a single center who received the 0.18-mg implant with at least 6-month follow-up were included. IRB approval was obtained. Characteristics analyzed included lens status, prior glaucoma surgery, prior 0.59-mg implant surgery, prior 0.7-mg implant placement, use of corticosteroid eyedrops, use of systemic immunomodulatory therapy (IMT), number of IOP lowering medications, LogMAR visual acuity, IOP, grading of anterior chamber and vitreous cell, presence of cystoid macular edema (CME), and presence of retinal vasculitis. The main outcome of interest was uveitis recurrence defined as new or worsening inflammation requiring escalation of therapy.

 Conclusions : Initial data suggest the 0.18-mg implant may be a useful treatment. Furthermore, glaucoma status and IOP did not worsen and treatment of IOP remained minimal throughout the study. However, no patient on IMT was able to discontinue, suggesting that the implant alone may not be sufficient. This study is ongoing, and results are preliminary.
