Grown for Students
by Students
We wanted to create a space where students and faculty can connect with one another in a hands-on, peaceful, and respectful environment. Our community garden wants to seek to educate students about gardening and the nutritional value of growing fresh produce. By partnering up with the Hungry Owl we have an even bigger chance to strengthen the bonds among the students on campus and show off our green thumbs!

Partnering up with the Hungry Owl we met amazing people along the way. Dena Shields, the faculty advisor of the Hungry Owl was kind enough to make our very own garden sign.
This slogan is very important to us and the community garden. There are a lot of heart breaking stories we heard about students who can not afford food to eat while away at college. We wanted to make not only a garden but one that can provide for the ones who dont have the funds. This garden is a statment to those students that not only the Hungry Owl is here to help, but that we the students are too. We want to grow vegetables from scratch and then we want them to be eaten by our very own KSC students and faculty.
