I am an Assistant Professor of Marketing at McMaster University. I hold a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Maryland and an M.S. and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Yonsei University in South Korea.
My research blends econometric and quantitative methods with experimental approaches to study consumers and retail businesses in the context of sustainable development. I position this work at the intersection of marketing and societal impact, aiming to generate insights beyond retail growth to inform sustainable business practices, enhance consumer well-being, and advance social welfare. My papers have appeared in leading scholarly journals, including Journal of Marketing and Journal of Interactive Marketing, and won prestigious awards, such as the EMAC-Sheth Foundation Sustainability Research Competition (Honorable Mention).
