We’ve been tracking a pair of art thieves and are closing in, but we think they are about to strike again. We have been monitoring their communications, but the only messages exchanged have been when they share results from their NYTimes daily games. However, we think we caught a break! We noticed the last few shared results refer to what looks like knockoffs of the real games. They shared the “Wardle” instead of the Wordle, “Associations” instead of Connections, the “MINI xword” instead of the Mini and “Strings” instead of Strands. We believe that Strings contains the ciphertext and there are clues in the other game results about the method of encryption, but we can’t figure it out. We urgently need more information – help us find the day, time, location, or any intelligence at all about the next heist!
