Welcome to the Privacy Policy of KRYPTOR ("we", "our", or "the Application"). KRYPTOR is a secure encryption application developed by Jerome Marchand, designed to provide maximum security using a "zero-knowledge" model. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.
We are committed to respecting your privacy. Since KRYPTOR operates entirely locally on your device, none of your data is collected, stored, or transmitted to our servers or to any third parties.
KRYPTOR does not collect any personally identifiable information. The application:
Does not require a user account.
Does not ask for an email address, name, or any other personal data.
Does not collect usage information (analytics, logs, etc.).
Does not store anything on external servers.
All encryption and decryption operations are performed exclusively on your device using the browser's native WebCrypto API.
Since we do not collect any data, there is no use of personal data. The application only processes:
Data that you explicitly provide (text, images to be encrypted).
This data stays on your device and is never transmitted.
Local History: Your encryption history is stored locally within your device's browser storage (localStorage) only.
Keys and Data: Your master keys and encrypted data never leave your device.
Backup: You may manually export your encrypted data, but this remains entirely under your control.
KRYPTOR may request the following permissions on your device:
Storage: To save and load encrypted files or keys from your local storage.
Clipboard: To copy/paste encrypted text or keys.
Sharing: To share files via other applications installed on your device.
Camera/Microphone: Not used.
These permissions are used solely for the local functionalities of the application and do not allow access to your personal information.
We do not share any information with third parties because we do not collect any. Your data remains entirely private and under your control.
KRYPTOR utilizes industry-standard encryption protocols:
AES-256-GCM: Advanced symmetric encryption algorithm.
PBKDF2: Key derivation with 250,000 iterations.
WebCrypto API: Native browser API for cryptographic operations.
Zero-Knowledge: The developer has no knowledge of or access to your keys or data.
The application does not use cookies or tracking technologies. It may use localStorage to store user preferences (theme, language, etc.) locally on your device.
In compliance with the GDPR and other data protection regulations:
Access: You have full control over your data.
Deletion: Use the "PANIC" button to erase all local data.
Portability: You can export your encrypted data manually at any time.
Rectification: You can modify your data locally.
We may update this policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted within the application or on our website.
