• For this project, I was tasked with analyzing a completed lesson/project according to the UDL Matrix.

• The lesson I selected was recently completed with my students using the vertical method and chip model of solving 2 and 3 digit addition. The kids really enjoyed color coding in this activity. Our curriculum is really great about providing opportunities to enhance student learning (the little blurbs in the margins).

Going through the worksheet and matrix, I kept reflecting on the UDL pieces that are included in the curriculum manual. They really are great suggestions and target each of the sections of this matrix. This activity definitely enforces the decisions I have made in my teaching practice and will continue to utilize those practices.
