• For this project, I utilized VoiceThread to create a multimedia presentation on "The Digital Divide"

• I took a close look at the demographics of the district I teach in and made some new discoveries along the way.

Before this project, I felt I knew what resources my students had available to them. After reviewing the district demographics, I was surprised by the amount of families in need of a way to connect to the internet and came to understand why the low-cost internet programs are so greatly needed in our area. Now that I have a better understanding of the digital divide and what that means for my students, I will try to help bridge the gap for my students, setting them on a path to technology independence.
