• In this assignment, after reviewing various definitions, I formed my own definition of Educational Technology.

After reviewing various definitions, I came up with:

• "Educational technology is the study and ethical practice of facilitating [and promoting] learning that [improves a learner’s academic] performance by creating, using, and managing appropriate technological processes and resources."

• I felt it necessary to incorporate the words learner and academic into the definition. The learner can encompass anyone that utilizes the technology. The term academic is used to recognize the learning that is gained from the educational technology use.
