Dr. Krishnan Sathiyamoorthy
Biography
Krishnan Sathiyamoorthy holds an MTech in Photonics from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India, and obtained his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India. His doctoral research delved into the exploration of linear and nonlinear optical properties of organic and inorganic structured materials in unconventional environments. Previously, he served as a research staff member at the prestigious Center for Optical and Laser Engineering (COLE) within the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) and at "Luminous" in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), both at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Currently, Krishnan is affiliated with iBEST at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Canada. His research focuses on cutting-edge areas such as nano-photonics, biomedical optics, and the development of optical fiber communication devices.
