Our lives are surrounded by the thoughts and images of what makes us different; what makes one side better than the other; why you should join this side or the other. My artwork focuses on the commonalities that the human race shares, instead of the differences that pull us apart. My artwork reminds the viewers of different emotions or experiences that person is connected to, while linking them to the larger theme that so many others have experienced.
My work combines a variety of techniques and materials in order to achieve the desired feeling, mood, or meaning behind each piece. Through contemplative landscapes with large colorful skies, I emphasize the vastness of nature and the smallness of humans to remind us of our relationship to nature, and our relationship to each other.
