The Robotic EXcitement unit, also known by the acronym R.E.X, or more informally as Rex the Robot Dog or just simply Rex, is an ageless robotic dog programmed solely for the purpose of bringing happiness to children; though due to his almost fantastical appearance and abilities, he cannot be seen by any adults at all costs.

  Rex was Kitten's "imaginary" friend when the latter was in kindergarten. Though she now believes him to be nothing more than a result of her childhood imagination, Rex likes to watch over her, sometimes, while invisible- if only to check up on how its favourite playmate is doing. Sometimes, Kitten might see a little metallic glint, out of the corner of her eye.

  Rex was created through a sort of self-fulfilling time loop. Once, while Kitten was sleeping in the Dream Realm, she had a dream about playing with her imaginary friend. This, in combination with the reality-bending powers Kitten has access to while in the realm, created a real Rex the Robot Dog. Rex was soon able to leave the Dream Realm to explore other dimensions & find others to play with. He eventually came to find a younger Kitten in her past, and became her very own imaginary friend; thus sealing its own creation in the future.

❤️Personality

  Curious, caring, playful; Rex loves to have fun & play games with his friends! Though, he can be quite cautious. Rex has a genuine fear of any grownups he didn't already meet when they were kids, as he's scared of being dognapped & taken apart by scientists. Rex, despite his fun-loving nature, makes an effort to be careful, quiet, & stealthy when necessary.
