Spell Star is an aspiring activist unicorn/kirin hybrid who currently lives in Ponyville. 

  An oddity who doesn't quite fit in with the ponies, but having very little cultural experience or knowledge on how to act like a proper kirin; Spell Star's given up on trying to fit in any one place for now, in favour of travelling across & beyond all of Equestria. She says it's to study different magics & other cultures, but it's also mostly for fun. 

  Who knows? Maybe she'll figure out herself along the way & finally find somewhere she belongs.
