Sammy 'Scary' Simpleton is a retired Scarer who currently works as a café barista.
He and his fiancée, Sally, have a fairly average, though sweet, history; They first met as students in Monsters' University, though in rival fraternity clubs. He was a member of JOX, while Sally was a member of HSS. In spite of this, they always viewed their rivalry as a friendly one and eventually grew to love one another.

Despite his surname and school fraternity club, Sammy’s intelligence is quite average. He has a sweet and caring nature to him, and enjoys the quiet simplicity of his new life.

Coffee, ants, guitar music, chocolate, climbing trees, rock-climbing, ballet, accidentally-maybe-adopting teenagers who are regulars at the café as his own honourary kids and becoming their father figure, reading newspapers

Sports fans, being technologically incompetent, flying insects, athletes, violence, having to deal with karens, politics

Can use his feet as hands and his hands as feet! He can also walk on two legs or on all six, but just prefers using four.
Only has the energy to do exactly one big activity per day. If it's a workday, he won't have the energy to go outside after coming home. If he goes to the park, he's not gonna have the energy to go grocery shopping. If he goes out to eat, he's staying home the rest of the day.
