His mutant species, Utromian Dragon, isn't a thing in any canon TMNT media, but it's a thing I made up for my AU! Basically they're dragon-like animals from the Utrom homeworld. On their native planet, Utromian Dragons are generally peaceful, but powerful creatures treated with the same reverence as elephants. Gentle in the wild, but fully capable of being war machines if the need arises.
