By profession, I study physics and I wonder I have been still paid for it :-) Physics allows me to ask a few simple questions, and look for some possible solutions even if they usually turn out to be wrong ;-)

Currently, I am working at the Department of Physical Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata as an Associate Professor.

From 2013 to 2019, I spent at the Theory Division of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata. Before moving back to Kolkata, I spent one and a half years at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal as an Assistant Professor. Prior to all these, I did my postdoctoral research at DESY, Hamburg, and at Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich. I have done my doctoral research at the University of Massachusetts @ Amherst, a beautiful small town in western Massachusetts, USA. Jadavpur University was my undergraduate destination, followed by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur for my masters. But all this “mambo-jumbo” started from my dear village Pipila, where I spent my wonderful childhood. More on that later ..
