HIKE ON KLADEŠČICA

Join us for a day of hiking, fresh air, and beautiful landscapes! Kladeščica is one of the most accessible mountains in Zagorje, offering well-marked trails, peaceful forests, and rewarding panoramic views. During this one-day adventure, you'll discover the region, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with fellow hikers.

We'll meet in the morning in Sveti Ivan Zelina, where our hike begins. The trail gradually climbs around 250 metres to the mountain hut, following creeks, historical sites, and beautiful woodlands. At the top, we'll take a well-deserved break: warm up with a cup of tea or a traditional homemade soup, treat yourself to a local dessert, and take in the hills of Zagorje. After recharging, we'll make our way back down to Sveti Ivan Zelina, arriving in the afternoon with great memories and a breath of fresh mountain air.

Kladeščica is beautiful and accessible in all seasons, which makes it a perfect hikes for beginners and nature lovers alike.

Schedule

The meeting point is Sveti Ivan Zelina. If you need help getting there, we'll provide information on public transport, connect participants interested in carpooling, and explore private transport options when needed.

The hike up will take 2 hours at an easy pace. On the way, we will visit the historical site of Zelingrad, before arriving at the mountain hut Kladeščica. There, we can enjoy some local delicacies, before coming down on a different route to return to Sveti Ivan Zelina. From there, we will go back to Zagreb arriving in the afternoon. The total hike is about 15km long with 250 meters elevation up and another 250 down, and takes about 4-5 hours at an easy pace, with a break.

The hike is suitable for all people, including children, and does not require any experience or technical expertise.

The total cost is 12€/person. There is no minimum required number of participants.

Cancellation policy:

Participation is confirmed by paying the full amount to Korene either in cash or by bank transfer. Cancellations are possible until 1 day (24 hours) before the activity day and a 50% refund will be provided, subject to bank transfer fees.

In the case of cancellation from Korene's part due to insufficient participant numbers, severe weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund.

Korene is a partner of Marwacodi. 

Marwacodi is an association based in Kenya. By working hand in hand with local communities, it promotes education, entrepreneurship, and women's empowerment. You can be part of Marwacodi's story, too:

• By making a donation: you can send a donation through Korene's account or directly to Marwacodi. The full amount we receive will be transfered to Marwacodi, accounting for some banking fees. Your donations will be used for three causes:

1) Education: to support families in paying tuition fees for primary and secondary school
2) Entrepreneurship: to buy materials for tailoring and hairdressing courses for teen girls
3) Sexual education: to buy sanitary pads and contribute to health professionals holding workshops in schools

• By visiting Marwacodi's projects in Kenya: Korene can help organize a trip for you, your friends and family, where you can combine the enjoyment of the coast of Kenya (Diani Beach) with visiting project activities and volunteering in the villages and schools where Marwacodi is working.
