Komodo dragons live on 5 islands, Komodo, Rinca, Gili Montag, Gili Dasani and Flores. All of these islands are from volcanic origins, these are formed by volcanic activity in the seabed, near the boundaries of the tectonic plates from Earth's crust. Also this happens by tectonic plates(pieces of the earth's crust) shifting. The convection currents in the molten rock in the Earth's mantle beneath the crust is most likely the cause of the movement of these tectonic plates. Erosion is also a big topic in this because costal erosion can change the format of the land a might be able to destroy habitats
