The Komodo dragons gets energy from a bunch of things like food and the sun. Food, the Komodo dragons diet consists of plants, water buffalos, pigs, horses, wild boars, goats and ever smaller Komodo dragons, they use this food and turn it into energy by a process called metabolism. Metabolism, it involves 2 processes, anabolism and catabolism. Catabolism, is the process of breaking down food into smaller and simpler forms therefore turning it into energy. But anabolism on the other hand is about using this energy to repair and build cells. Sun, Komodo dragons get energy from the sun because they are cold blooded so when they are basking in the sun it helps them gain energy to run and hunt actively. Finally they use this energy to run and hunt efficiently and overall to be more active.
