Food for Families
Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney. We strive to promote these principles through the many activities of our council.
“The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's fraternal benefit society that was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.
As a Knight you can choose the projects with which you wish to be involved within your own community. What is more, the Order is dedicated to family life and the many benefits it offers. From insurance to scholarships to service and social activities and programs, all are open to the whole family.”.

Our council was formed under the guidance of Fr. Eugene Neyer, Pastor of Our Lady of the Valley in 1983, and named after his friend and spiritual advisor, Msgr. Paul V. Heller. Since our founding we have endeavored to follow the five objectives of the Knights of Columbus: to support the church, to support the family and build fraternal bonds, to support the community, provide assistance to our members in need, to provide financial security through our insurance program.
