Lumen Christi

Council No. 14625

Our next meeting will be an Exemplification on Monday, April 19th @ 7:00 pm

The degree team from St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Lithia Springs will be hosting "The Exemplification of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity" at our social hall on Monday, April 19th. This event confers on all men the status of Third Degree Knight, which makes you eligible to be elected as a council officer. The ceremony takes about 45 to 50 minutes and the schedule will be as below, so please attend if you are only a first or a second degree Knight. Even if you are already a third degree, we encourage you to attend and support your Brother Knights

We will start by praying the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM, followed by dinner at 6:30 PM, and then the exemplification at 7:00 PM

Grand Knight's Message

Salve, Brother Knights and guests!

I am Allaine Dela Cruz. As Grand Knight for Lumen Christi Council #14625, I want to extend a warm welcome to you all. The Knights of Columbus (Knights) hope that this site will be a useful source of information for both current and prospective Knights. We hope to keep you abreast of the many religious, fraternal, and charitable undertakings of the Council.

We offer a very special welcome to the visitors who are interested in learning more about the Knights and how you might become an active member in support of the many charitable projects we undertake. Any practicing Catholic man is welcome to join us.

We hope that all visitors will take the time to contact one of our Officers listed on this website, and share your thoughts with us as to how we can improve the site so as to make it more appealing and helpful, so to make us a better council overall.

The Knights were founded in 1882 in New Haven, CT, USA by Fr. Michael McGivney. The young Fr. McGivney had seen a need for a fraternal organization for working Catholic men. His vision established the Knights in 1882 with 20 men in St. Mary’s parish and has grown to over 1,800,000 Catholic men today. The Knights is an international Catholic organization with a mission to be a true brotherhood of Catholic men, to build up the holiness of our members, to provide a strong Christian witness to society, and to strengthen and support Christian fatherhood and Catholic family life.

Point(s) of Interest

Into the Breach!

Inspired by the Apostolic Exhortation for Catholic men written by Bishop Olmsted of Phoenix, the Knights of Columbus produced a video series, which can be found here, that seeks to answer the question of what it means to be a man and how to live as a man in today's world. During this Holy Season of Lent, let us all seek to be better men.
